BioIn 2240, as I graduated from the Naval Academy, I received a letter about a new program. The SCO program they called it, for Special Command Operative. They told me I'd be pulling secret missions in dangerous space, but really what they needed is some pretty boy and girl to stamp all over posters. They paired me with one Lieutenant Elizabeth Hammerschmidt, some kind of hero I hear.
Wherever we go every male somehow just has to hit on her. That's not half as bad as when people mistake us for a couple. God I hate that woman.
